The picture quality is usually excellent, the features are easy to use and learn. The problems are these: 1) a few pictures are distorted with circles that are not in the picture before or after. 2) the thumb wheel has free movement and any touch will move the wheel. Then you look down and you are in a different setting than the one you set/wanted. You may lose pictures you thought you had. 3)The flash is too sensitive and fires often, for example on cloudy days. Before this my favorite still camera was another Panasonic, the 8 Meg but this one is a third the size is 10 Mp and has all of the features of the bigger camera. With the Panasonic HD video camera you can carry High quality camera gear that used to require a wheeled cart in your pockets.
