Summary: Better than a single CCR studio album
Comment: It is sad you don't hear any songs off this CD on the radio. I'm sure when CCR was recording and it was new, the music had to grow on you. These songs instantly connected with me and repeated listening could only help me sing along.
There is a great anti war song that would have fit in the sixties, but is again relavent during the Iraq war in a rock and roll style, not a slow folk song.
Fogarty is a legend, his concerts and music are still great for those who love CCR.

Summary: Fogerty's best solo work yet
Comment: I didn't want to like this album. I'd listened to Blue Moon Swamp more than I cared to and had grown tired of it. Listening to previews of this album, I wasn't interested. Then a friend of mine bought it and I listened to a couple songs. And guess what? They were pretty good. So I bought it. And I was blown away at just how good this album really is. I think it's far better than Blue Moon Swamp (which peaked with A Hundred and Ten in the Shade). It's less hokey and demonstrates more of Fogerty's talent as a songwriter.

Summary: CCR revisited
Comment: Revival reminds me of the early days when CCR were new and unheard,a brand knew mix of southern,swamp,country and R'n'R music,and they were the best.As CCR was mainly John Fogerty it's not surprising that Revival has a high CCR flavour.The songs are what you would expect from JF,down to earth and always from the heart,real honest music,from a man who gave us unforgetable music.Chek out The long way home,wich is in my opinion one of the best live CD/DVDs ever made

Comment: When I recieved this I was a little disapointed because it came in a paperback case inside of the plastic but the cd was perfect.It was in perfect condition so it really didn"t matter it didn"t come in a plastic case.I highly recommend this item.
