I've purchase 2 different brands before this one and I love how quiet it is. I believe I've had this so long because of the cleaning I give it after 24 hours of use. I clean it out with distilled water and white vinegar and that helps keep the mold from growing into a problem. A definate must have! Customer Rating: Summary: Excellent Low-Cost Humidifier Comment: This is the third humidifier I bought this winter and it's the best. It's very cute and quiet, easy to fill, and doesn't get everything all wet like the other humidifier I purchased. I am very pleased with it. Customer Rating: Summary: Dragon! Comment: This humidifier has worked pretty well. Now and then it will stop working until i give it a bit of a jiggle, then it's back to business as usual. I've also noticed this mostly happens when using the Crane brand screw in filter and not the standard screw on water dispenser. overall a good humidifier, keeps my modest sized room nice and humid Customer Rating: Summary: Pretty decent and cheap, and very cute Comment: I have only a little more to add to the many other reviews: The fan is very quiet, but like many other humidifiers there is a constant dripping sound that I find annoying. The plastic case acts like a resonator and makes it much louder than it needs to be. I should not really say that the dripping sound is LOUD, but it is certainly audible in a quiet room, and I find it annoying. Others may not be bothered, but I think it sounds like a dripping faucet in the same room. Customer Rating: Summary: Good product, but too low and too cute... Comment: I've found that this humidifier needs to be on an elevated surface -- say, a low table or dresser, otherwise the floor/carpet gets wet. This causes a bit of a tripping hazard with the cord, especially as a Thomas the Tank Engine humidifier is usually used around kids. A further issue: this humidifier is so cute and toylike that I have a hard time preventing my toddler and baby from not playing with it (which is a bad idea -- it is, after all, an electrical appliance containing water. That being said, they do love watching the 'smoke' coming out of the choo-choo. As far as humidification goes, it does a fine job for an average size kids bedroom. More Reviews
