Hold extremely well and the clip is sterdy. my only downside and reason for not giving a full 5 stars is the fact that they seem a bit bigger than they actually are. but other than that, they hold strong, come in great colors and add some fun to everyday notes, lists and children's artwork. They are great for putting up notes, pictures, papers, whatever it is you want to put up. Just the right strength and holding power. The little grips can slightly damage pictures so obviously you should frame any pictures you want to keep in mint condition. But for putting things on the fridge they are perfect. Note: There are NOT for chip bags. I always end up trying to use them as chip clips and while you can get them to work, they're a little too small for that. I buy the Oxo Good Grips Magnetic All-Purpose Clips, 4-Pack Assorted for that purpose.
