Customer Rating: Summary: Glory Comment: GloryI had purchased this as the "edited" version and it is definitely NOT edited. This DVD is not appropriate for educational purposes.
Customer Rating: Summary: I'm very pleased! Comment: I ordered this as a Christmas present and it arrived in plenty of time, in excellant condition and I'm very pleased with my purchase. I'll definately use this service again.
Customer Rating: Summary: Poignant. Comment: Glory is a important and sad film about the turblent Civil War and how slaves were treated during that time period. Denzel Washingtion won a best supporting actor Oscar for his brave yet sensitive performance. Matthew Broderick seems out of his league here, he will always be Ferris to me! Morgan Freeman and Cary Elwes also star. Check this highly acclaimed film out some time!
Customer Rating: Summary: Great Movie Comment: This is a great historical film that really captures the spirit and conditions faced by the soldiers of the Massachusetts 54th Regiment.
Customer Rating: Summary: A very good historical film Comment: That blacks in the civil war era had it hard even when free
isn't new, but that a group was trained as soldiers in
the north and actually fought in the south.
Matthew Broderick seems young for the leading officer, but the acting of Morgan Freeman and Denzel Washington in this film is first rate.
I think had the ending not been so depressing that it might have gotten more awards. You finish this film thinking that they all died
and pretty much for nothing
as the fort was never taken.
